Levenshulme Antiques Village
Levenshulme Antiques Village; a treasure trove of interestingly diverse and truly remarkable artefacts offers an
eclectic collection of products, ranging from fine furnishings, statuary, decorative ornaments, pine antiques,
reclaimed bricks and tiles, and historic toys, to collectors items, elaborate fireplaces, stained glass,
and quality hardwood antique doors.
Built in 1898 as the town hall for the Levenshulme Urban District Council and consisting of twenty individual antique
specialist shops, the ornate, green-tiled building is itself an antique worth beholding.

Transport |
Levenshulme Train Station
Located just off the A6 on Albert Road, the train station provides easy access to both Manchester and Stockport within minutes;
making Levenshulme a popular place for commuters. It's famed for its "Street With No Name" sign.

You can't go wrong with the buses in Levenshulme they literally come every minute.
The 192 takes passanges night and day to Manchester or Stockport.

Crowcroft Park Primary School
The primary school is located within Crowcroft Park itself in the border of Levenshulme/Longsight.
Academically, for the second year running we have seen an improvement in our Key Stage 2 SATs results and the added value
we give to our pupils by the end of Year 6. Our Maths and Science results were above the national average, and our
Science results were significantly higher than expected. Level 4+ were 70% English, 79% Mathematics and 89% Science.
In June 2006 we received our Silver Healthy Schools' award following extensive work on teaching our children about the
benefits of healthy eating options. We also raised children's awareness of the importance of recycling, reusing and
reducing the amount of paper we use and reviewed our Anti-bullying Policy.

Levenshulme High School
Located on Errwood Road, Levenshulme High School established in 1929 has gone through many changes including
allowing boys into the school as previously it was girls only!
The schools boasts the new EnergyBox a new 2.2m sports facility in the grounds of the school:
This facility allows the school to develop and improve on its commitment to ensuring that fitness is an
essential part of any student's life and has given the P.E. Faculty greater flexibility within the
curriculum and opportunities to deliver a wide range of School Extra activities.

Restaurant Reviews |
Nawaab Restaurant
The Nawaab is BIG, and feels like a school canteen (think and Indian version of Wagamama). From the outside it look like a cinema,
which it used to be, but walk inside and there is a large dining
area downstairs laid out for a buffet, with upstairs reserved for large functions. The quality of the food is excellent
and the range is extensive. I challenge anyone who likes curries not to walk away statisied.

That Cafe
A little gem tucked away in Levenshulme but, once found, likely to produce all sorts of pleasant surprises.
Within the definition of 'neighbourhood café' I would give That Café good marks. It has a strong local following and
people also find it useful for pre-theatre suppers. Whilst the cuisine may be modern there is a cosiness to it which
is reflected in the general ambience of the place. Part of the art of keeping your clientele is quite simply making
what you offer them interesting. They do that here and it's not just an occasional event.

Nightlife |
M19 Bar
Levenshulme hasn't always had a great deal to offer, given that Central Manchester is on the doorstep, but M19 is changing that.
M19 is a live music venue, home to Acousticfest - Manchester's Premier monthly Acoustic Festival.
M19 host plenty of events from music to stand up comedy, so if you don't fancy the trip into Manchester M19 might be up your street.
